This trip lasts for about 4 hours and will depart at either 5:00 PM or 7:00 PM (depending on the season)

Mask/snorkel, fins, gloves and torch will be provided. FULL BODY 3MM+ WETSUIT REQUIRED (not provided)

The Night Drift Expedition takes place on the XELA Expeditions vessel, Ghost Drifter. This 31ft vessel was built to be eco-friendly and has one of the lowest fuel consumptions for its size. The small footprint of this vessel minimizes the interference with some of the more shy marine species and provides a more natural interaction with the animals.
The Night Drift Expedition will be led by Captain XELA and an elite dive guide. With your capable crew, you will head off of the coast of Palm Beach and arrive at the dive site just before the sun goes down. On the way out, the crew will give a full briefing on how to safely and properly interact with sharks and other ocean animals at night. When we arrive at the dive site, your crew will assist you in suiting up and instruct you on how to ease into the water and turn on your torch.
As the sun sets completely, you will be surprised at how visible the sharks and other ocean life are with the light from your torch. Sharks have very reflective skin and eyes, which make it easier to see them from far distances in the water. At night time, sharks tend to act more naturally and you will be able to observe some fascinating behaviors that are not usually seen during the day. The light from our torches may also attract species such as: flying fish, tuna, squid, cobia, and possible sailfish and mahi fry. You will likely spend over an hour in the water and upon completing the dive you can enjoy some good vibes and cold drinks on the way back to the dock.
